New Reception Parents
Dear new Reception parents,
Thank you for choosing St. Mary's for your child and we hope that the next seven years are happy and successful for your child in their development as an individual and as a learner.
Due to the ongoing circumstances around coronavirus, we have created this page on our website to provide you with further information about our wonderful school. As well as the school prospectus, which we sent you and which can be viewed here on our website under the 'Our School' drop-down menu, below is a welcome video message from myself. Following this, we have a powerpoint presentation created by our two job-share class teachers, Mrs. Jayne Boast and Mrs. Angela Holliday. This gives you an overview of life in Reception and Class 1 specifically. In addition to this, Mrs. Boast and Mrs. Holliday have recorded an audio file talking you through their presentation. Finally, there is a document entitled 'I am 4 - what can I do?' which will give you some ideas of how to support your child to get ready for school.
We will also be contacting you in the coming weeks regarding the transition days for your child in the autumn term. This will depend on the government guidance at this time, though our aim is to give your child the best opportunity to settle as well as is possible in to their life in school with us.
Having viewed all this information, if you have any further questions, then please do not hesitate to phone or email Mrs. Boast, Mrs. Holliday, Mrs. Suttill in the school office or myself, depending on what your specific query involves.
Hopefully we will have provided you with all the information that you need to help support your child in their transition in to St. Mary's. We look forward to welcoming your child and yourselves in to our St. Mary's family.
My very best wishes and I look forward to getting to know you all over the coming weeks,
